We've reached 9% of our funding goal! Thank you!
We've now gotten up to 9% of the funding goal of $8,200. Thanks to your help, we are going to reach that goal!
It's now 14 of you folks who have made a donation pledge; you are certainly showing your support of my artistic vision and I truly appreciate that.
I want to let you know that I've been in contact with key people in Austin, with whom I'll be working in order to mount my bicycle play at the Mexican American Cultural Center, along the hike and bike trail in downtown Austin. We all love Austin, right?!
Laura Esparza, Division Manager of the Department of Parks and Recreation at the City of Austin, has emailed me that she is still very interested in my play; she read the script back in 2009 and was the first person to suggest that it be adapted for performing along the hike and bike trail. That way, the audience could also be on bike (or on foot) and the scenes of the play could be performed in more than one spot along the trail. Very creative--innovative and different!
How exciting to be able to show Austin how Fort Worth artists/performers can do innovative theater--with an environmental message.
I just wanted to update you on the movement towards getting this show produced in Austin. It's a long process and the fundraising factor is certainly key to making this happen!
Please spread the word, suggest that your folks and friends visit my project page.
Anyone can pledge and every amount pledged is a worthwhile pledge.
Thanks so much.
With my feet on the pedals,
