Sindy Folgar


Ms. Folgar received a B.F.A from Marymount Manhattan College and a B.A. from The National School of Dance in Guatemala. She is also an ABT ® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT ® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 3. Ms. Folgar has been dancing for the past twenty years and had had many wonderful performance opportunities, including Nutcracker (Sugar Plum), Swan Lake, Coppelia, Don Quixote, and Raymonda, with The National Ballet Company of Guatemala And The Performing Arts Center of Connecticut. Sindy is currently a company member of The Parker Project and has performed with them both locally and in NYC. Other dance venues include, NYCDA at The Joyce Theater with the MMC Dance Company, Dance New Amsterdam with the Parker project, Palace Theatre CT with InMotion company, Solstice in Times Square: Dancers at the Crossroads, Dancers Responding to AIDS (DRA, Aaron Davis Hall Concert and SUNY Purchase Concerts and Lincoln Center, etc

Sindy has studied with Ballet Hispanico, The National School of Dance (Guatemala), National Ballet Company of Guatemala, Regional Center for the Arts, Performing Arts Center of Connecticut. Ms. Folgar has work with many great dancers and choreographers including: Pedro Ruiz, Abdur Rahim-Jackson, Pam Tanowitz', Kate Weare, Katie Langan, Denise Vale, Kristina Berger, Desmond Richardson, Larry Keigwin, Dominique Kelley, etc. She is currently a teacher at the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut.
