I founded FLAM CHEN Pyrotechnic Theatre in 1996. and was joined by my partner and Technical Director Paul Weir, in 1999. We have toured nationally and internationally. Our primary interests are community interactivity with spectacle, novel use of public space and the fusion of multi- disciplinary performance and ceremony.
FLAM CHEN directs the finale component for Tucson's All Souls Procession, which is North America's largest grassroots arts ceremony to Honor the Dead, with over 30,000 participants, now in it's 24th year.
I am the current Artistic Director of FLAM CHEN and The All Souls Procession, as well as a Director and Instructor for our educational wing, Tucson School of Circus Arts.
