Donnie Cianciotto

Donnie Cianciotto is a New York City native who attended The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan and currently lives in Tucson, Arizona. An entrepeuner from an early age, Donnie's first foray into the Artistic Director side of theater was in 2002 when he created Tucson's longest running professional improv comedy troupe Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed, which just celebrated it's 13th Anniversary. Donnie was the Artistic Director of the short-lived but successful Insurrection Theater Company in Phoenix, Arizona from 2006 - 2008, and is currently at the helm of his latest brain-child Musical Mayhem Cabaret, where he has been the Artistic Director since 2011. Donnie is also currently the Management Associate for Invisible Theatre, one of Tucson's only Equity playhouses currently celebrating it's 45th Anniversary Season.

Both onstage and behind the scenes, Donnie has worked with many venues throughout Arizona and New York including Desert Stages, Wilde Playhouse, The People's Improv Theater, Scorpio Productions, Millenium Theater, Bloody Unicorn Productions, Old Pueblo Playwrights, Shakespearean Theater, Center Stage Productions, Unscrewed Theater and more. He has worked as a Box Office Associate at Phoenix Theater Company and the Herberger Theater Center, both in Phoenix, and as the Box Office Manager for Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Mesa, Arizona. Donnie was the Publicity Director and Special Events Coordinator for Wilde Playhouse in Tucson, Arizona from 2003 - 2005. 

Donnie has extensive improv comedy experience having performed with The Originals, Light Rail Pirates, and S'Marmalade, as well as having directed and performed with Not Burnt Out Just Unscrewed. He also managed his career between 2007 - 2014 as a nationally recognized Male Illusionist, having performed across the country under the stage name "Anson Reign." As Anson Reign, Donnie won multiple titles in various pageant systems, and created and managed "Kings For a Cause - A National Drag Event" which raised over $10,000 for charities nationwide in a 5 year period. Donnie has retired from the art of Male Illusion, and has had speaking engagements on panels dedicated to transgender healthcare and policies, as well as televised interviews sharing his experiences as a transgender man.
