James Harris is the solid and cerebral anchor amidst the whirlwind of amazing creative flash that paints the composition of Paul Sand Projects. His theatrical roots originated in western Colorado, but it took a 1989 move to the then-struggling Santa Monica Pier to develop his strong, comprehensive background in imaginative event production. He has since produced hundreds of events including large-scale concerts, small-scale community happenings and, most recently, Paul Sand Projects' introductory show, Kurt Weill at the Cuttlefish Hotel. He and Paul have also collaborated on the production of two Jim Harris-penned stage plays Save the Pier! (performed annually at the Santa Monica Pier) and An Illegal Start (currently in development for production) as well as their co-founding and creation of Santa Monica Public Theatre.
