Guillermina Zabala is an Argentina media artist who graduated from Columbia College-Hollywood, with a BA in Cinema. Currently, she is the Media Arts Director at SAY Sí. She's the recipient of the San Antonio Artist Foundation Award and the NALAC Fund for the Arts Grant for the documentary Juanito's Lab. In March 2011, Guillermina was selected to be one of the SA's Luminaria featured artists, and in May 2009 she was invited by SA Museum of Art curator David Rubin to be part of the exhibit Waterflow. Additional exhibits include: Sexto Continente (Barcelona); Emergent Art (Zaragoza); Arts Latina (Havana); All Female Video Review (UTSA Satellite Space); Fotograma (Galeria Ortiz Contemporary); Arte Latina: Roar (Blue Star Contemporary Arts Center); Seven Shots (Bonn, Germany); Conjunto (Institute of Texas Cultures); Latino Expressions IV; Victoria Suescum's Tremendo Manicure (Museo Alameda del Smithsonian); and t he short film The Hot Room, which aired on Showtime Networks, Inc, among others. She's currently working on the documentary Juanito's Lab, about blind musician Juanito Castillo.
