Writer/Producer/Director/Cinematographer of the Empowerment Arts first feature film, "A Paper Tiger Burns". Gavin achieved a B.A. in Film Production from Webster University, a St. Louis, Missouri based liberal arts university, that included a semester in Shanghai, China. In St. Louis he worked as a talent agent, IMAX projectionist, certified personal trainer, and independent filmmaker before moving to Denver, Colorado where he now works at Denver Botanic Gardens as the IT and AV Administrator, and certified Project Managment Professional. Previous film projects include a documentary about globalization in China, programs about immigrant refugee churches, and a short film about homophobic violence. He is originally from Tennessee where both of his parents are Methodist ministers, and he considers this upbringing an important influence on his passion for telling stories with a purpose. He is openly gay, married, and adamant about human rights issues.
