David Ariniello

Practicing Artist

David Ariniello wrote and directed the short film "Date Blind," starring Emily Bergl and Jordan Bridges which will premiere at New Filmmakers Summer Series in August 2011. He wrote and co-produced the narrative feature Arcadia Lost starring Nick Nolte.  His script In the River was a quarter-finalist in the 2006 American Zoetrope screenplay competition..  David and producer Kelly Thomas attended Film Independent's "Fast Track" program at the 2006 Los Angeles Film Festival with David's script, In the River In 2005, David's feature-length screenplay, River Champion, was a finalist in the Fiftieth Annual Samuel Goldwyn Writing Awards.   David is a member of the Writer's Guild of America, west, holds a doctorate in English Literature from the University of California at Irvine, and graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University in the City of New York. 

Before attending college David worked many years as a dolly grip on numerous films, television programs, and commercials including Sideways, Patch Adams, Unhook the Stars, The Last Seduction, Mi Vida Loca and yes, Critters.  He is still, in fact, a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
