We have just SEVENTEEN HOURS left of our campaign and in thirty-four hours, we'll be on stage performing for opening night!

Our team of artist and community performers have been working seamlessly and tirelessly, with inspiration and preferred coffee and tea drinks as our fuel. The video projection, which will surround the stage on four sides (the floor being the fourth), an all white set with moving images, is up and synced with the show. The music and lighting supports and enhances the narrative. Dancers know the dances and lines and can now settle into embodying them fully. The community performers have been woven in and complete the scenes with their tableaus and witnessing. WE ARE READY. And we are so excited to share the journey of Stardust and Water with you - our supporters and audience.

If you are inspired to share this campaign to join us in this final push to reach our stretch goal, we would deeply appreciate it. Your donation vote is our wave as we flow into opening night. The other vote of support is, of course, coming to the show! Your senses will be engaged on all levels with this, our biographical stage dream, a multi disciplinary feast to be experienced with the whole body. Thank you, friends. See you in the stars!

Ask and believe and you shall receive: we REACHED our minimum goal to get Stardust and Water onto the stage and into the hearts and minds of all those who partake! THANK YOU, generous donors for believing in the kind of art that merges disciplines, builds community and shares a message of the collective experience of challenges, triumphs, and our connection to our bodies, each other and the cosmos. A sneaky peak from the script: "The cosmos is all there is or ever was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the cosmos stir us – there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation, as if a distant memory…. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries. We were created to wonder." - Carl Sagan

We have all spread our wings to make this gorgeous piece, Alana's one woman memoir for a cast of 30, come to life. Luckily we are dancers, but also costume designers and videographers, editors, production designers and producers! If we weren't playing multiple roles, the budget would quadruple. Additional costs for musicians, lighting designers, the theater and materials for sets and costumes exist too, so $3000. is an absolute minimum. If you know anyone else who might be inspired by Stardust and Water, please share this campaign. Your personal recommendation means more than all the outreach in the cosmos.

On Friday, our cast converges in Boulder to continue rehearsals and on Saturday, we welcome in the community cast! Show opens in NINE DAYS and this campaign ends the 24 hours before we open.

Our light and appreciation is flowing your way. Without you, as my then six year old daughter would say, "The house would just be a pile of wood and some paint!"

    To light,

Greetings and thank you to all the generous donors that have supported our project, Stardust and Water!

Our small team is creating aplenty, generating stunning, hand died costuming for the community cast, also known as "Star Beings." Acetate drums with dragon and snake transfers are being prepared to be illuminated with light and rotated so that their projections will create a stage set of imagery constellations. Video is being edited so that ocean waves will roll right over the stage. Collaborations are happening among musicians and singers - brilliant talents who will transform the space with sound and celestial song, and performers, who are honing dances of liberation, peace, surrender, challenge and rebirth and also among technicians, who are editing and creating media and putting finishing touches on unique costuming. Stardust and Water is going to be a FEAST for the eyes, mind and spirit.

Your support is deeply appreciated to bring this one woman memoir for 30+ performers to life. By presenting this auto-biography so that it can be witnessed by an audience, it is released into the shared space of universal stories. For us as audience members and performers, this is the gift of the collective. This is the gift of ART.

More soon! But for now, CHEERS to YOU.

Stardust and Water is an evening long performance in the stars; a collective biography; a multi-disciplinary theater tapestry.
