Some Kind of Wonderful

by Ricky Reidling

I believe more now that ever, that we need more LGBTQ films and TV series, and it's my heartfelt desire as a proud filmmaker to make that happen with a new series to be filmed in Palm Spings, California, where I currently reside. I feel honored t olive in a city where there's so much support for the gay community, and I want to show the rest of the how truly wonderful it is with a new TV series: SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL.

I've been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years, successfully creating feature films and another gay television series "BoysTown", that currently airs on cable network OUTtv in Canada and Europe. My goal with this new series is to get it picked up by a cable network here in the U.S. We have an amazing cast in place and everyone is passionate about the show and look forward to filming this before the year is up.

SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL is a gay romantic comedy TV series about three best friends, Sam, Tony & Steve, who made the transition from Los Angeles to Palm Springs, California to live a much more laid back way of life. While many consider Palm Springs to be a retirement community, the primary characters in the series discover an environment and lifestyle they hadn't expected. The stories they hear and adventures they experience are incredible. When Sam's younger brother, Eddie comes to live with him after graduating from college, it adds a whole new twist. A great roster of actors is lined up for the series, including Greg Louganis, Pandora Boxx (RuPaul's Drage Race), Ann Walker, Rosemary & Newell Alexander, Eric Dean, Jeff Marchelletta, David Pevsner, Chuck Saculla, Patrick Tatten and Ricky Reidling

The plan is to film the pilot in early December 2017, which will take five days to complete. We will then go into post-production, where I will be editing along with my composer, who will help bring this project to life. Then we'll submit to cable networks here in the U.S and abroad, however, as mentioned earlier, our main focus is to have this series picked up here in the states.

We need your help to complete our project. Please consider making a donation to help us reach our goal of $2,500. Your contributions is 100% tax deductible and you'll get a receipt immediately upon donating to this project. Funding will go toward paying actors and crew, along with licenses from the city and other expenses. Any additional funds raised will go toward future episodes and/or help pay for other expenses that may be needed while filming the pilot.

"Thank You" in advance, and please share this with friends and family who could help us achieve our goal.
