Producer/Writer/Director Stacie Hawkins began writing and producing television projects as an undergraduate at the University of Arkansas. She later earned her Masters of Fine Arts from Chapman University in California. There she wrote and directed several short films including her graduate thesis Like A Woman Should which screened at festivals around the world. Stacie returned to her hometown in the Chicago, Il area to write, direct, and produce her first feature film The Rise and Fall of Miss Thang which went on to win Best Narrative Feature Film accolades at both the Nashville Black Film Festival and the San Francisco Womens Film Festival.
Hawkins is currently living in Spain where she is in development on her second feature project.
