Shawn Saumell was born in New York, in 1977 and currently lives and works in Dallas. He received a MFA from AIB at Lesley University, BFA from the Texas Woman's University, magna cum laude, and an AA from Collin College, cum laude.
He has had a recent solo exhibition at The Boston Public Library, Boston, MA (2012); and recent juried exhibitions at the Kiernan Gallery, Lexington, VA (2013); A Smith Gallery, Johnson City, TX (2013); Craighead Green Gallery, Dallas, TX (2012); and the McKinney Avenue Contemporary, Dallas, TX (2012).
