TdA was founded in 2003 with the intent to bring a new audience to the theatre and specialize in experimental, absurdist, and surrealist forms of the avant-garde tradition. Nowadays, we make it a goal to perform plays that challenge an audience by bringing to light controversial or complex social issues. War, politics, human relationships-nothing is off-limits.
This season, we will bring to the Colorado Springs stage:
THEATREGASM TURNS 10 (March 10 to 19)
SHORT EYES, by Miguel Piñero (May 19 to June 4)
PETROGRAD, a coproduction with Counter/Weight Theatre (July 21 to August 6)
DOGS: THE MUSICAL (September 15 to October 1)
ANGELS IN AMERICA, the two-parter by Tony Kushner (December 7 to 23)
Todd Wallinger of the Colorado Springs Gazette has called TdA productions "some of the most provocative works ever produced in this city" with "staggering ambition and depth."
