Andrew Okpeaha MacLean is a filmmaker from Barrow, Alaska. His short film Sikumi was the first film to be written entirely in the Iñupiaq language. It premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Jury Prize in Short Filmmaking. His other short films include Natchiliagniaqtuguk Aapagalu (Seal Hunting with Dad), which premiered at Sundance in 2005 and was named one of the 10 best short films at the festival by IndieWire. Andrew's feature film On the Ice will premiere at Sundance this coming January in the U.S. Dramatic Competition.
