Every week, hundreds of cats and dogs are abandoned at the Miami-Dade County Animal Services. Some are brought in by their own owners; others are found wandering the streets of the city.

The documentary feature “S.A.V.E.” (Silent Animal Voice Euthanized) exposes the reality of the treatment of animals. Over 27,000 pets are brought to Animal Services each year, and sadly, there are not nearly enough homes for all of them. The documentary also seeks to investigate why there are so many animals and what we can do to help solve the issue.

This educational documentary challenges the Miami community, the United States, and ultimately the world, to become advocates for the rights of cats and dogs.

Our hope is to promote desperately needed change by raising awareness around responsible pet ownership, promote adoption, and improve the living conditions of animals presently in Miami Dade County Animal Services. In addition to this documentary film, the team will continue the mission of the film by learning methods from one of the most successful animal adoption center in Central America – the Territorio de Zaguates, Costa Rica.

This documentary hopes to inspire the public's consciousness to, bear the responsibility of respecting animal life and to offering them the protection they need.

While we made the film on an extremely limited budget and a lot of passion, we are asking the community for donations for to assist with post-production costs. If we reach our minimum goal of $5900 through Hatchfund, we will be able to complete this film with optimal quality and possibly save the lives of thousands of animals.

Please consider a donation to S.A.V.E.  Education and awareness are the basis of change. There are a variety of donation levels with associated benefits from which to choose. Every gift of any amount helps. On behalf of all these little ones, thank you very much.
